Your car can still look nice between car detailing sessions. Having some simple habits will help keep your car the way you want it to be, and you don’t need to do them yourself either.
Maybe you can recruit your husband or the kids to do them on the weekends 🙂
- Microfiber Power
A microfiber rag or two in the center console can go a long way. Consider the dust and grime buildup over time. Make sure these don’t make your car look dirty and unkept by going over the steering wheel, dashboard, and other plastic surfaces with a cloth.
- Handheld Vacuum
This little guy can make a big difference in your car’s appeal. Simply go over the car mats once a week to get dirt, crumbs, and who knows what else?
Pro Tip: Consider upgrading to all-weather mats. They’re easier to clean. All you have to do is just shake them out or rinse them off, and they provide better protection too.
- Preserve Your Precious Seats
Messes are bound to happen. Whoops, there goes some food on the seats! So having quick-to-use cleaning wipes can save you from those hard-to-get-rid-of stains that seem impossible to go away sometimes.
Action item: Keep a small pack of wipes ready with some stain remover as well. You’ll never know when they’ll come in handy.
- Park Underneath the Open Sky
You might have heard it’s better to do it underneath trees for shade. But what happens when tree sap and bird poop get on your car’s paint? They can be very hard to remove, so protect your paint and keep your car in the sun (or grey overcast) to keep it in great condition.
The cool thing about these tips is it doesn’t require hours and hours of maintenance to maintain your car’s premium look and feel. It just requires some effort from you…or your family members 😉
